About Miss Enad
I was born in the Philippines, then moved to Texas at a very young age. As proud as I am of my native homeland, I always claim to be a proud Houstonian through and through. I graduated high school from Lawrence E. Elkins High School, the very same high school where I currently teach. After a few years, I then graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor's degree in English and a minor in Education, spending my final year interning at EHS. It was always my dream to come full-circle and teach at my alma mater. I am incredibly lucky to have achieved my dream so early on in life, and hope to inspire and help my young students to target and achieve their own dreams.
As a proud EHS alum, I attempt to be as involved as I can possibly be in regards to school events and activities, and I encourage my students to do so as well. As a student teacher, I volunteered to assist in coaching the Lady Knights Girls Soccer Team. During my first official year, I had the position as Assistant Speech and Debate Coach for EHS; but, now, I am currently assistant coach to our EHS Cheerleaders, sponsoring History Club, and a couple of other clubs/organizations.
Aside from teaching, I love to spend my time with family and friends. I am the eldest of three siblings, one brother and one sister; and I try my best to spend as much time with them as I can. Family is the number one priority in my life.
I also used to dabble in reporting and writing about Houston's professional women's soccer team, the Houston Dash. I am an avid fan of women's soccer, and truly any USA Olympic team. I am a person with an endless array of interests and hobbies, but my favorite among them is reading, eating, and watching the Houston Texans during football season.
Go Texans!
